We Use Hot Water Extraction
Though commonly called “Steam Cleaning”, the process of carpet and upholstery cleaning we use is officially termed, “Hot Water Extraction”. This is because the water used can at times reach temperatures as high as 120 degrees Celsius. But the hot water is really only the rinse cycle of the carpet cleaning process. The typical cleaning method involves preconditioning the soiled carpets with a cleaning agent, which after being given sufficient dwell time is extracted with the above mentioned rinse cycle. This process is recognized in the AS/NZS 3733:1995 to be the only method effective in leaving minimal residues in the carpet.
